OPTOSUITE PRO and OPTOSUITE X

Software

Introducing the OptoSuite Pro software package for programming all of your settings and managing data for the Optoelectronics Scout, Spectrum Scout, Digital Scout, M1, CD100, and Xplorer. In addition, the OptoSuite X program supports the X Sweeper nearfield receiver. This is the easiest way to interface your computer to your Optoelectronics devices. The software covers all device data in a very easy to read and concise format. The software is compatible for use under Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP/Vista. This package is software only. You must already have the proper cabling . Device connection requirements are outlined below.

Features

•Work with memory and logging data in easy to use spreadsheet format.
•Flexible data editing capabilities, including Cut, Copy, and Paste, and row/column manipulation.
•Standard Windows button bar gives fast access to commonly used software functions.
•Append user notes to memory and logging data.
•Memory data can be exported for later use, used with spreadsheet software for further manipulation
•Exported memory and logging data can be re-imported for editing.
•Export data is in standard comma separated value format for integration with other software.
•Frequency, numeric and date information is saved according to your regional settings.
•Show signal level in common relative dBm units. (Digital Scout only)
•Live display shows signal strength and squelch with frequency information. (Digital Scout only)
•LiveLog records reaction tune frequency hits in real time.
•LiveLog records reaction tune hits from multiple devices simultaneously
•Captures the CI-V device address for all downloads and LiveLog hits.
•HitFilter eliminates undesired real time frequency hits captured by LiveLog
•Excluded HitFilter real time frequency hits are optionally logged for later analysis.
•Set Scout, Spectrum Scout, Digital Scout, M1, and CD100 settings from your computer.
•Manage Spectrum Scout User Database and bandplan data for memories and hit logging.
•Save multiple sets of device settings for different needs neatly organized on your computer.
•Print concise reports of your device settings, memories, and logging hits for easy reference.
•Runs under Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP or Vista.

Use your computer screen as a large easy to read live device display. Where supported you see not only frequency data but also current signal level. Enabling LevelLog sends frequency hits, above the chosen signal threshold, over to the LiveLog. Setting Discrete on prevents multiple adjacent duplicate hits from filling up the LiveLog with extraneous data.

HitFilter makes it possible to eliminate extraneous frequency hit data by filtering out pager, commercial broadcast, and other undesirable signals based on frequency ranges. HitFIlter allows a sophisticated include/exclude process to be applied against received frequencies to separate out the data of interest from the everyday broadcast noise. It is easy to maintain multiple sets of HitFIlter data on your computer for different monitoring situations. Each row defines either an exclude or include frequency range and is automatically sorted in frequency order for processing. Any given row can be temporarily turned off for custom processing without deleting the given row. A default table of common broadcast items is provided.

LiveLog records frequency hit data based on device Reaction Tune hits. Enabling HitFIlter makes it possible to eliminate extraneous frequency hit data by filtering out pager, commercial broadcast, and other undesirable signals based on frequency ranges. LiveLog also works in conjunction with the Display screen to record frequency hits in Display mode along with signal level data. Enabling Exclude Log allows capturing excluded frequency hits to a separate Exclude Log screen for later analysis of rejected data.

Exclude Log provides a detailed listing of rejected frequency hits that can be reviewed for important missed data such as recurring frequency use in unexpected allocation segments. The notes column is pre-filled with data from the notes column of the HitFilter data.

Download all available memory data. Date, weekday, and time are downloaded when available or are otherwise set to reflect the download date and time. Frequencies that would have been excluded by HitFilter can be marked as excluded by using the Edit/HitFilter menu option. The CI-V device address is also captured. User notes can be manually added to downloaded data. Spectrum Scout default database data is included inside the software. Bandplan data displayed can use either default or user database data, just as the Spectrum Scout itself, by setting the appropriate Options and loading the User Database tables.

All options available through the device serial interface can be read or written per device capabilities. The database options set her determine how the bandplan column is filled when doing downloads and using the Edit/Bandplan menu option. The Options settings can be saved on your computer.

Spectrum Scout user database management is simple. Use the software to manage multiple user database files as needed and write them to your Spectrum Scout. Appropriate user database header information is written to the Spectrum Scout so that an Options screen read can show you the file name and record counts for your active user databases. Here too user written notes can be appended for informational purposes.
